The parts supplied in this stage will not be needed until Stage 91, so keep them stored somewhere safe for now:
Fitting the Front Body Wheel Arches
Step 1
Retrieve your Front Body assembly from the previous stage and set it upside down on soft cloth. Also, retrieve your Front Wheel Arches from Stage 82 and Stage 83:
On my models, I gently bent the leads of both Headlight LEDs to make a bit more room for the Wheel Arches:
Then, I hooked the wires of each Headlight LED under the Bonnet Support Brackets to temporarily keep them out of the way:
Step 2
Fit the Right Front Wheel Arch into the Front Body, as shown:
The front edge needs to go under this lip of the Front Body, aligning the screw hole as shown:
The rear edge has two posts that align to mounting points on the Front Body and Reinforcement Structure:
Step 3
Secure the rear of this Wheel Arch into place with one (1) Type A and one (1) Type B screw, as shown.
This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal (the Type A screws):
Secure the front of this Wheel Arch into place with one (1) Type A screw:
Step 3
In the same way on the other side, fit the Left Front Wheel Arch into the Front Body, as shown:
Secure the rear of this Wheel Arch into place with one (1) Type A and one (1) Type B screw, as shown:
Secure the front of this Wheel Arch into place with one (1) Type A screw:
With both Wheel Arches installed, this is what our Front Body should look like:
Assembling the Third Wheel
Step 4
Retrieve your Wheel Rim and Pirelli Tyre (Tire) from Stage 86. Squeeze the Rim into the center of the Tyre as shown. Ensure it is fully seated all the way around.
Take care not to the damage the tiny chromed valve stem detail on the Wheel Rim. Unlike many of my other vehicle partwork models, I surprisingly did not have to warm this tire up in order to fit it over the wheel:
Thoughts
I believe we have now completed construction of our entire Front Body assembly. We can turn our attention to the Rear Body now.
