Adding Essential Parts to the Frame (2)

Step 1

Retrieve your Front Frame assembly from the previous stage. Press the two pins of the Right Bonnet Hook (in the bag marked ‘R’) into the matching holes at this right-side location of the Front Frame:

In the same way, press the two pins of the Left Bonnet Hook (in the bag marked ‘L’) into the matching holes at this left-side location of the Front Frame.

When installed correctly, the silver details of both Bonnet Hooks will face the left side of the car:

Step 2

Contrary to the instructions I had when completing this stage, the two Bonnet Supports are not the same. One side of each Bonnet Support has this slightly recessed ledge. Therefore, I have marked these Bonnet Supports as LEFT and RIGHT here:

On the left rear corner of the Front Frame, press the holes of the LEFT Bonnet Support onto these horizontal pins.

When installing both Bonnet Supports, the circular raised detail should be facing up. Note how the recessed ledge of the Bonnet Support fits around the corner of the Front Frame (circled below). I found this allows the Bonnet Support to sit straighter. If you find it difficult to attach these parts, you can either file down the pins on the Front Frame or slightly enlarge the holes of the Bonnet Support:

In the same way, on the right rear corner of the Front Frame, press the holes of the RIGHT Bonnet Support onto these horizontal pins.

Again, I circled the Front Frame where the recessed ledge fits around the corner:

Step 3

Press the two pins of the Voltage Regulator into the matching vertical holes at this right side location of the Front Frame.

Note the rounded surface of the Voltage Regulator should be towards the top, as shown:

Step 4

In the same way, press the two pins of the Relay Box into the matching horizontal holes at this right side location of the Front Frame.

Note the angled tops of the Relay Box should be towards the top, as shown:

Thoughts

It may not make much difference if the Bonnet Supports are installed backwards in the grand scheme of things, but I did find that they fit better when attached to the correct sides.
