Fitting the Interior Roof Panel
Step 1
Retrieve your Interior Roof Panel assembly, Visor Support Brackets, and Right Sun Visor from the previous stage.
NOTE: These four Visor Support Brackets are slightly different from each other. The Brackets marked ‘1’ and ‘4’ are the same and the Brackets marked ‘2’ and ‘3’ are the same. To make this entire process easier, I will install them in numerical order (unlike the instructions).
Cut the Visor Support Bracket marked ‘1’ from the sprue.
I always use sprue cutters or a sharp hobby knife to remove plastic parts from sprues:
Press the two pins of this Bracket into these holes of the Interior Roof Panel. Make sure this Visor Support Bracket is installed at the correct location and facing the correct direction, as shown:
Step 2
Cut the Visor Support Bracket marked ‘2’ from the sprue and slide it over this silver pin of the Right Sun Visor, as shown:
Slide the other silver pin of the Right Sun Visor into the first Bracket and carefully guide the second Bracket into its proper holes, as shown:
Step 3
Cut the Visor Support Bracket marked ‘3’ from the sprue and press the two pins of this Bracket into these holes of the Interior Roof Panel:
Step 4
Retrieve your Left Sun Visor from the previous stage. Cut the Visor Support Bracket marked ‘4’ from the sprue and and slide it over one of the silver pins of the Left Sun Visor, as shown:
Like before, slide the other silver pin of this Left Sun Visor into the third Bracket and carefully guide the fourth Bracket into place, as shown:
At this point, our Interior Roof Panel is now complete. Therefore, I used tweezers to remove the protective film from the two Mirrors:
Step 5
Retrieve your Central Bodywork assembly from Stage 48 and place it upside down on a soft surface. Fit the Interior Roof Panel inside the Central Bodywork, as shown.
Make sure the wires of the Interior Light LED are coming out of the center rear ‘hump’ of the Interior Roof Panel (arrow below):
Secure the Interior Roof Panel into place with four (4) Type D screws (supplied in the previous stage).
This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal. Also, these screws will not stay visible – there are color-matched stickers coming in Stage 53 to cover them up:
With the Interior Roof Panel now secured, we can rotate the two Sun Visors into their normal position:
Starting the Right Door
NOTE: These steps will be very similar to the processes we followed with the Left Door back in Stage 01 and Stage 05.
Step 6
Gently press the two pins of the Door Lock into the matching holes at this location on the Right Door, as shown.
It is helpful to use tweezers to install this part as it is so small:
Step 7
Slide the Door Handle into these slots at the rear edge of the Right Door, as shown.
Note the position of the small tab on the lower surface of the Door Handle – this should be pointing towards the bottom of the door:
Then, gently press the forward pin of the Door Handle into the remaining hole in front of the Door Lock, as shown:
Step 8
Place the thin rod of the Right Door Hinge into this slot, positioning the hinge as shown:
Place the Hinge Bracket into the matching rectangular recess, over the Right Door Hinge, and secure the Hinge Bracket into place with two (2) Type C screws. This will capture the Right Door Hinge in place.
As before, the tighter you make these screws, the stiffer the door will be when you open/close it. I tend to lean more towards a stiffer hinge operation:
Thoughts
With this stage complete, we have finished Pack 6 of our Agora Models Lamborghini Miura build! Keep all of these assemblies well protected until the next pack arrives.
