Attaching the Silencers
Step 1
Retrieve your Rear Frame/Engine assembly from the previous stage and place it upside down. Note these tabs and posts on the Silencer Support Frame. These are where the Silencer (Upper Parts) will be placed:
Fit the Right Silencer (Upper Part) to this location on the Silencer Support Frame, resting it on the two tabs and single post. At the same time, lift the notched end of the Manifold Connection Pipe and place it into the groove on the side of the Right Silencer (Upper Part), as shown:
Fit the Right Silencer (Lower Part) onto the Right Silencer (Upper Part) as shown:
Then, secure both parts into place with one (1) Type A screw.
This is your friendly reminder to try using 3-in-One Oil on all screws going into metal:
Step 2
In the same way as before, fit the Left Silencer (Upper Part) to this location on the Silencer Support Frame, resting it on the two tabs and single post:
Fit the notched end of the Exhaust Pipe into this groove on the side of the Left Silencer (Upper Part) (arrow below), matching the other two ends to the Manifold pipes as shown:
Secure the two free ends of the Exhaust Pipe to the Rear Exhaust Manifolds using two (2) Type H screws, one on each side:
Like before, fit the Left Silencer (Lower Part) onto the Left Silencer (Upper Part)…
… and secure both parts into place with one (1) Type A screw:
Thoughts
All of our Exhaust Manifolds should now be securely mounted into place. If you still find them loose at sides of the engine, a couple drops of glue will surely help solve this problem.
